Prepare the syrup. Meanwhile, brew the teas together in one cup. Let steep until cool. Once the syrup is also cool, add the berries to a shaker. Muddle until pulpy. Add ice, along with the cooled tea and syrup, plus the bitters. Agitate vigorously for about 30 seconds, or until lightly frothy. Strain into a stemmed glass. |
simple syrup
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c water
Mix the sugar and water in a small pot, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Store in a glass bottle or jar. Keep refrigerated.
