THIS COCKTAIL RECIPE WAS COMMISSIONED BY THE WILLIAM P. FAUST LIBRARY IN WESTLAND, MI AND WAS INSPIRED BY WILLIAM GOLDMAN'S ​THE PRINCESS BRIDE

  • 1.5 oz rooibos and The Republic of Tea Super Adapt cocoa reishi teas 
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (see recipe below)
  • 2 fresh raspberries 
  • 4 dashes All the Bitter nonalcoholic aromatic bitters

Prepare the syrup. Meanwhile, brew the teas together in one cup. Let steep until cool. Once the syrup is also cool, add the berries to a shaker. Muddle until pulpy. Add ice, along with the cooled tea and syrup, plus the bitters. Agitate vigorously for about 30 seconds, or until lightly frothy. Strain into a stemmed glass. ​​

simple syrup

  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c water​

Mix the sugar and water in a small pot, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Store in a glass bottle or jar. Keep refrigerated.​
